It's me again, with a new sketch.. Thx for all the c&c - I really appreciate it. However, due to my job (deadlines) and general laziness I almost never finish a sketch. But I've promised myself (and my wife) that I'll pull myself together and do something about it.. But if any of you guys should feel the urge, feel free to colorize etc any of my sketches - I only ask that you tell me about it and show me your work!
As always, c&c is most welcome! |

Guess I'm spoiled already from your replies the other day.. I (almost) expected instant feedback to this latest sketch! - Maybe you're just tired of naked babes and dinodragons
Anyway - here's an update:
Btw., I've made a (VERY) temporary homepage just so I could upload my sketches to this forum.. Here's the link: http://www.angelfire.com/comics/ecanem/ |

ah that's really nice...
If the light were to come in the NE->SW direction (assuming that north is up). then you could have those light beams streaming through the leaves and giving the apple lots of shine and spalrkelz! hehe |

I have you beat, I'm too lazy to do anything but paint overs. ;] Kidding, but good work. Just take a few minutes to clean up areas like hands and feet and you'd have a wonderful, usable, cartoon style. Anywho, my color, 10 minutes maybe?

Nice colours Anthony, Thanx for the effort!
I like the fading greens in the back and the branches.. In fact, I also have some earlier sketches where the dinodragon is purple!
You also talked earlier about a John Liberto.. -excuse my ignorance, but I don't know whe he is.. I searched for him on google but that didn't help much - turns out that there are quite a few guys called John Liberto out there!
Who is he? |

Cool Lighting and colours Roundeye - And also thx for the work you've put into it.. I'm gonna use some of yours and Anthony's ideas for my own "final version" if that's ok...?
I really like the strong light in the back, but there's also a strong lightsource from somewhere near the "camera" or viewpoint.. (the highlights on the girl and dragon) is that what you meant by "how not to..."?
Once again thx!
