Hey, how is everyone doing? It's been a while since I have posted anything here, but I have not stopped reading all your posts and checking out the great work you all have been doing. Now that I am starting to get some work of my own done, I would like to join in fun myself
While this may not be my first post, this is my first colored image that I have placed here. However, it's just a color sketch I did to get a feel for the values and colors I plan to use when I make the finished painting. That's why I decided to put here instead of the finished forum. But at the same time it clearly shows what I have in mind for the final painting so I considered it post worthy. So good, bad or indifferent, please let me know what you think of it.

Hey, Katt, thank you for the reply. I apreciate it.
Now where are the rest of you guys? Come on, I know a lot of you out there like Mad Max. Please, tell me what you all think.
I'm going to try again to get the picture to come up in here:

I like it especially the coloring. Something looks wrong with the perspective of the car though. Most of the picture does not seem to have a wide angle perspective but the car does.
It also took me a while to realize that what's in the foreground is actually a hand. Maybe because the arm is bent and lacks definition as an arm.

I like the clouds a lot! Really good clouds! Excellent palette.
Other than that, the hand in the foreground bugs me a bit. And the perspective of the car. But I think that if you fix the yellow front of it, things are solved. It looks like it's a limousine, because the yellow part is too long. If you cut the yellow distance by half, I think it starts looking right. And then straighten the surface of the road. It's a wobbly road where Max stands. |
