this is acting as the comp sketch, i was bored and wanted to do something so here it is, the back and white thing only cuz it's faster ( after steve) anywho, gandolf will look better and frodo will look more hobbit like.... cc and paint overs are welcomed!

I'm liking the composition you have going. A few things that struck me are the shape of gandalf's eyes frodos blah hand. Oooo, I'm loving gandalf's nose. Hee hee...

Gandalfs face is quite good but I think the hat needs a bit of work. It seems to be a little bit too long at the front, almost like a cap
