Hi people!

I'm actually proud of the colouring at which I am not all that experienced. However you guys propably have some pointers as to what could be improved.

Also I would like to know what type of body this guy has. Is he a defensive slug - A royal guard from the planet Neptune...or
I dunno, and I was kinda hoping you guys did

I'll ofcourse keep you posted!

Thanks.

Sukhoi

Wow...cool he looks so qute :P

If you inverted tose lower spikes so that they ponted downwards it could be like a parasite. It'd bite someones head off and then take control of the body by attatching itself to the neck

dob:
Yeah, it pretty nice. Especially the one where he writes: "this is shitty design, if you like this design you suck"!! That's so funny haha!!!

Novacaptain:
Great idea! The horns would double as legs then, and he could attach himself to trees an drop down onto unsuspicious bypassers, hehe. I think he's more of a civilised being though....

Well he has no body yet so it's hard to get the wrinkles the correct places. When he gets one I will get my wrinkles inspected by you

shahar2k:
Shure I am. It's a female....No really, I made that before he got horns and I didn't think they'd help explaining the jawmovement so I left them out.
I you read my post again, you'll find that I was asking you guys for help on the body

Ps: Anyone with comment on the lighting/colors or missing background? I think he semmes a little flat.....

Thanks a bunch guys!

Be back with more later on...

Sukhoi

I still think that you could use a "host" body...You could make a picture with one attatched to a human body walking beside another one attatched to a dog's body and they'd be walking along, talking to eachother - in a civilized way even.

It could be a less terrorizing and monstrous version of the half-life headcrab

Maybe you could put it in a cave with green goo since the ambient lighting on it is already green :P

I think he'd work best as a household pet.
Fun around the house and guaranteed to keep the neighbors off the lawn.

dob:
I'm not shure I understand your question?? I already posted a sketch showing the creature opening its mouth...? Can you be more specific?!

Novacaptain:
I'll have to let you down regarding the host idea
But I see it in my mind, I just don't have the time to draw it...

Firefly:
Yeah!!!! (not excactly how you'd envisioned it I guess, but hey....)

Here's my go at a body...

He's definately going to be a "pet" or a battle-beast of burden!!
He's sort of a gorilla-Rancor clone hehe.

Thanks folks!

I meant black and white sketches... Which might get you on this coloring phase.

Anthony J:

Thanks mate!!

dob:

For this beast I only did the linework you see in the full body image above. No b/w sketches, I did the colour directly on top of the basic linework. Would you like to do a paintover?

Heck, the head works pretty damn well without a body!
It could kind of squidge along the ground and knaw on people's ankles. *chuckle*

I really like the sagging skin under the eyes, it adds a lot of character and personality.
Great work!

hey hey.. Nice stuff. I like it. You might want to erase the spike that is most inwards toward the body. I think it's too far back and the poor creature might have a problem with turning it's head without getting poked all the time. It just doesn't seem logical placed. Also I like the b/w sketch without the horns better. Great work!

Thanks folks!

Nova:
Yes sir! Thankyou sir! I will now procede!

Quasar:
Thanks!

Vive:
Thanks, should I just toss the body design out the window then?

BooMSticK:
Yeah, you're right. I have tried fixing it, along with some minor lighting issues and other datails.
So, you fancy the females (hornless) of this species do ya?! Rrraw *whip-sound* Down boy!! Haha!

Here's the newest incarnation. Any ideas for a background?? I'm totally lost...
Fire away.

Thanks again guys!

Sukhoi

*chuckle* Naw, keep the body. It could be like it's big brother, or maybe it's more evolved form.

You know, some things just beg to be turned into toys. It could like beltch goo or something when you squish it's body. Or maybe it would just make a good pez dispenser.

I like the work on the body by the way. Keep it up!
