Hello-
This is my first visit to the board. I have enjoyed reading many of the topic discusions and learned a great deal. So now I would like to dive in head first and show you my first attempt at digital art. This was done from a line drawing of a cabin. No refrence was used. Any comments welcomed. By the way it is work in progress. I need to re-work the background.

first off, i advice you to post your comments (ps on the cabin art) in one topic, but youre new so i guess its a mistake.
your pic looks absolutely stunning to me. i really like the way you did the stones on the chimney. what is the original resolution of the image? i think some extra contrast in the trees and on the background, and some extra detail on the floor would add to it.
also it looks like theres something wrong with the perspective of the chimney, it looks turned to the left too much. i could be wrong though.

Sorry, I cant give any usefull critiques Im affraid.
To me that picture looks pretty finished already and I absolutely love it as it is right now. That would be a painting Id hang on my wall(and that means a LOT!) : |

That's a really great picture. Very nicely done, and as a first attempt at digital art, makes it ever more impressive. Nothing I see to crit.

Great picture!! The background looks a bit washed out to me though. The textures, especially the chimney looks awesome. The cabin really stands out....brrrrr, I'm cold now
I'd be interested in knowing what program you used too and if you have a slightly higher resolution version.

Wonderful. I think everything is working very very well at the moment.
What program did you use, just out of interest?
