The face is great, you have a great start there. Even though the body is still rough you should whatch out for a few things:
HER left shoulder seems either a bit too high or extended to far out away from her body. Also the neck seems a little thick to me. Also you did a good job of working from general to specific on the face, but you may have jumped to detail too fast with the buttons on her top. Not that i'm all that great, but i find it easier to make changes as I go a long if I put off detail as long as I can. All of this is just MHO, of course and I haven't seen your reference so take it as such. Your work has been pretty damn great, especially your self portrait. So, I hope to see some more of your work based from life. Photos are nice for reference, but to get more depth to a drawing there are things that only the naked eye can see that are missed by the camera. Real shadows have more of a tonal shift. This last part obviously doesn't apply to this painting, but because it appears to be from a photo I'll throw that in.
Hopefully this will give you some constructive thoughts to work with and we'll be able to reap the fruits of your work when you share it with us.
Thanks for posting man keep it up. |

looks great. The body appears to be flat still. Another thing is that the torso looks pretty wide and straight - because of the clothes possibly - but still...the shape of the actual body shouldn't be completely lost. |
