ok..this is just funny...what you NEED to do is study..some SERIOUS history....vikings in the 18th century...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......try around year 700 - 1100.....oh well..kids grow up...just do me a favour...do NOT under ANY time of your life if you happen to stumbel over one of my fellow norwegians....ask the time old question: "Hey, you from Norway? Do you have icebears in the streets there?"....WE DO NOT!!...and Norway is NOT the capitol of Sweden!!!
sorry dude....just had to.
btw..vikings never had horns in theire helmets..its a myth. |

I bet that if the Vikings were still around today, they'd be amazed at all the glow-in-the-dark stuff we have, and how much we take it for granted. |

the thing is that many have come before you asking for "help" then claim the art as thier own. you'll get much more help and advice if you even try to do something then post it for feedback. |

I'm in the process of getting the body figure right, im am currently making a raider posing with his arms at his sides, lightning bolts are coming out from his hands and it says raiders at the top of teh bolts here is a sketch of what it looks like... http://www25.brinkster.com/vermast/raider.gif
this is just a line sketch of the body position, what you think? |

I say you just do a few quick sketches of a few ideas you have and see what works for you, why leave it to someone else's imagination, you'll like it a lot better if you do it yourself, you have more controll |

Okay here's what a raider is:
quote
Quote: |
Few soldiers traveling a road to carry out a raid would connect the words road and raid. However, both descend from the same Old English word rad (long A). Old English rad (long A) meant the act of riding and the act of riding with a hostile intent; that is, a raid, senses that no longer exist for our word road. The ai in raid represents the standard development in the northern dialects of Old English long a, while the oa in road represents the standard development of Old English long a in the rest of the English dialects. It was left to Sir Walter Scott to revive the Scots form raid with the sense a military expedition on horseback. The Scots were not the only once conducting raids, however. We find these words in the Middle English Coventry Leet Book: aftur a Rode... made uppon the Scottes at thende of this last somer. While road is not used in this way any more in English, a trace of this usage is still detectable in the compound inroad, literally a riding or advance on or in. |
No creed was specified or anything. Raiders are just anyone who raids another person's land, home, etc.
These are the raiders I think of
As kahboom said raiders tend to be thought of more as a pirate because of the Football.
