hey folks.
ok, i think ive got the basic layout all done and the main shapes filled in. now, i just got to add the details *shudder*. i just thought it would be nice to get some comments before i started the details. are the colours to desaturated? too monochromatic? does the waterfall look convincing enough? y'know, stuff like that.. maybe some tips on adding details/textures.
thanks for looking.

im not sure, it looks like the 2 are talking. i mean, if a dragons head has gotten that close to u, would u just stand there like that?
i think it really looks like the dragon is talking to that guy or something. |

This is looking great! I really like it.
I'm not sure what is going on in the scene though. Is the dragon supposed to mean? If so maybe you could give him a little more of a snarl and lower his "eyebrows" a smidge? |

you convinced me to register. i have to reply to this.
it looks great. only two things i can suggest. the upper jaw looks a little short, like he might have an overbite. and to make him look more 'evil' add some horns. ![](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |

looks awesome so far. though, the teeth don't look as threatening as they could. The current set, i think, would work nicely with some well placed and intimidating fangs. It would go well along with the dragons facial expression.
i guess, think of it as a k9 set of teeth.

I just realized what is making the dragon non-threatening to me (I like the pic, btw). His lower jaw is directly underneath the upper, which would be ok if his mouth were closed. Remember that the jaw swing open in an arc from the joint. So I would suggest either bringing in his lower jaw or extending his upper jaw/snout.
Good luck finishing it up.

Hey, I just noticed sleightly askew draconic facial proportions and thought I could help:
Ok, the snout is curved upwards at the base of the mouth, and then the nose slands down and to the left when the lower jaw goes straight. You may want to tilt the end of the nose to the right (your right, and rotate I mean) another thing you can try (after doing the last step) is elongate the front teeth sleightly, sharpen them, and then widen the tip of the snout a bit.
The eyes also convey a cross-eyed appearance. You should probably adjust the one on the dragon's right hand side's eye. add a bit more black near the edge of the white and it should be good. You can see more of the (dragon's) right eye's white to one side then the left and the right eye is both farther away, and a quarter concealed on each side.
About the neck (where the lower jaw connects iwth the side of the screen.) you might want to sleightly pull the neck's skin up towards the jaw, defining the jaw a little more and giving the dragon a more fierce and sleek feeling. elongate the snout a little when it is all done and you should be set! (not too much though, the nose thing and the neck thing should fix this for the most part, but I think the extra five millimeters could make the difference. |
