Looks like he's falling apart. Especially his head looks really wierd.
Use masks when coloring so that you can't
get color outside the outlines. Also keeping the outlines above the color layer, if you have layers, would be a good idea.
About the color, you might want to use more colors. Not only light/dark variations of the same color. Try adding a little bit of orange to the dark parts of the yellow. Experimentation is the key.
