Hellou... it's been some time since I posted a picture here.
This is a WIP. I'm going to finish it. So every little point of critique will be useful and influence this piece.
The thing the soldier points at is still missing.

Most cool looking.
Good colours, good composition, the character is very expressive, etc.
I don't feel I am good enough to nitpick it, so I wont.
I like the way you did the trees... I must try to learn that. It looks like it has more detail that it actually has, it fools the eye very effectively.
It's cool. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

the lookout tower is a bit out of perspective.
i just love the man's pose and expression, very dynamic! |

I really like this! Your use of colours is getting impresive. I particulary like the high contrast and high saturated colours you use, it makes the pics really lively.
The expression of the guy is very dynamic too.
Nothing to crit by now, I hope you add the thingy he's pointing at soon =) |

agreed, this piece is very well done. I hope you are putting something he's pointing at in that will explain his reaction, like an oncoming handful of riders or something would be cool, but this is yours.
If it were me, I would also smooth out the background trees a bit more...
but all in all, this one is up at the top in pure talent. |

good grief, i have one more i think. Perhaps you could get some ref for the huts or whatever in the distant...if this is suppose to be medieval type stuff, then I would go with the traditional type huts |

Thanks for your help all so far. I will change the huts tomorrow. And add some steam coming from his mouth Good points. This piece is far from finished tho. I will smoothen out the trees as I move on.
And I will answer everybody tomorrow as well. Too late now. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
