I finally had time to make basic lighting for the pic - don't mind the colors, they just basically represent the color of the lights I was planning on having there - also there's some inconsistencies in it (i.e. please ignore). Any thoughts?
Hey, I also was thinking about including a large dead lizard behind the girl so that the pic would be of the normal 4:3 ratio, the girl would stand more to the left of the pick and the lizard (not a dino nor a dragon really) would lay on the right half - that would also explain the missing sword since it would be in the lizard's neck/hide. |

someone has stolen her dagger...
thiefs all over...
ok, the right...left... however the hand holding the jewelery looks a bit strange, like she has 6 Fingers....
render it out a bit more... at the moment there is no material diffrence visible. Same with colors...
and dont put a dragon behind her... but i hate fantasy anyway So maybe u should not care what i say

I'd place her in a room with a treasure chest and a bed with a person sleeping in it behind here, as well as a window on the wall back there somewhere so that you can see that yes it really is night time outside. |

The lighting has been done nicely and seems to have a air of mystery around it.
When you say inconsistancies, are you referring to crits on her anatomy? If not, would it be okay if I offered a paint-over? |

Sure, if you feel the anatomy is screwed, I'd appreciate any tips - to my eye it looks pretty nice - some trouble with the hands/arms, but don't know what else..?
And inconsistencies in the lighting - certain areas get lit when they're not supposed or get too much light - nothing major though.
(just added some stuff)

Hello,
Very nice image, lots of mood, nice lighting too. One of the nicest I've seen today.
On the anatomy and proportions, they're pretty solid. I'd change her right (our left) forearm a bit though. It wouldn't bulge out of the cape like that, the way you have it it looks like it's not connected to her upper arm; it seems that the forearm is coming out of nowhere. Also, it would probably be a bit thicker.
The hair, the face and the pose are great, nicely executed.
Render out her left hand a little more, the base of the hand is thicker than the forearm. If you touch your hand you'll notice that at the bottom of it (opposite of the thumb) there's a bone there, you may even have a little callous there.
Both her hands are knuckle-less, I think they need a little work. Take pictures or get a mirror and draw your own in that position. Hands are not easy. Lemme pen you up really quick some examples (disclaimer, these are 1 minute pen sketches, but i hope they help you).
The lighting is nice, you have a nice blue ambient light, I'd extend the lighting from the gem a little more, it would probably reach her face, even if subtly.
Then you have this backlight that's great for defining form. What I don't get is how the light is showing her bum and right breast, it should be obscured by her cape, unless it's transparent.
Anyway, good job and keep it up.
