Here's my newest picture. It's an illustration of myself. It's our new project we have to do. I don't want to make it look to realistic cause that's what everyone else is trying to do and I want to form my own style. The prob I have is with the part between the nose a top lip. Do I bring shading down or lighting up? The lighting is odd on the picture and not very clear. If you have any C&C please let me know... I really can't wait till we start working in PS!!!! |

I really like the simplistic style. As for your upper lip dilemma, I would add a highlight just above the lip. Some other critiques:
Her left sleeve looks like a metal cylinder because the highlight is so straight and bright.
The clothing is a little confusing because it is mostly a black blob. This may just be a stylistic choice, but you might want to add a little more detail to describe the shape (not wrinkles) better.
The hair looks unfinished ... but that's probably because the whole pic is unfinished
Anyways I love the style, especially on the face. keep it up! |
