SeanW --- and others, I thought I would post up this line drawing for you to colour if you would like. Its from a previous sketch I posted a while ago. You can see it here

I thought you might like to add your own backgrounds to make each one seem different.

I hope you have fun. Sorry that I couldn't post anything 100percent new but I have been rather busy.

enjoy yourselves. I look forward to seeing anything you come up with if you want to give it a go.

I drew this at the breakfast table this morning. The pose originated in an ancient japanese painting I remember seeing in a japanese tapestry book at a friends house once. I liked the unusual hand position (yes the hand position messes with my head too. Thats why I like it!!)so I drew a more contemporary character in a similar position. PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK IF YOU FEEL LIKE IT.

I WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO COLOUR IT, IF POSSIBLE AND POST IT HERE!

Reminds me a bit of Haggar in Final Fight except with a sword. Very nice work Shiro.

Great drawing. I like the pose and linework but his right hand is going beyond the point to where it would be breaking. Later man.

I agree that his hand must be off. I did a 10 minute paint of it, in the Halloween theme. Spooky, ain't it?

OK, so maybe it's not spooky =]

Actually his elbow is not beyond breaking
My 'lil bro's can bend his elbows that far so this guy is double jointed like him.

The_Anarchist - Thankyou, actually my arm probably would break but there are Japanese members of my Iaido class that can do that without a problem. The ability to hyper extend the arm is due to flexability. I have rung my friend who had the original painting from old japan that had the similar pose. I will hopefully scan it off him on the weekend and post it to show you all. Although - its only a painting as well. Anone with a sword and a digital camera should have a go copying the pose lol.

Anthony - nice work mate. Makes it look like he needs to fight off zonbies! Thats really cool.

SeanW - that looks great. This one looks as if its a duel between masters. I love the light rays and the skin tones. Also his hair is exactly the colour I imagined.
Its been great fun seeing what you guys come up with. thanks a lot.

Snyper - I dont remember that game well. can you post a pic of the character?

Thanks everyone.
Boy that arm was contraversal!

It must give him a distinct edge in combat because he can gross out his opponents.

Cool, thanks - my recent stuff doesn't even show up on the site, it's all in miscellaneous directories :] You oughta get some stuff together and get a gallery up, it's good for publicity!

You guys are the greatest. Fantastic work. It so cool how I sat here on the West coast of Australia and drew this. Then you guys from the east coast of Australia, the United States and even Bulgaria coloured it. How cool is that. The world is shrinking!!

R1dler - you did that with a mouse!! you would be deadly with a wacom. Even the small tablet for around $250 Australian, will change your life. (mind you I only have one at work!)

raist --- I just love that wrinkle work on the clothes. You also picked that the trousers were not jeans! Very seriously nice.

You guys all rock!!

Anyone - Give us a yell if you want me to do more line work for you to colour. I had no idea so many people would like to do this. (and all so well).

I hope you like it.

Here's full res:
1000x745 68k

I had fun with it.
The zombie arms aren't quite what I would like but I'm tired and going to bed.
Fun pic.
Thanks for looking.

I will try with the girl, but - I've got homework to do - and, I am not as good as you...

Lazydead: I like a lot, beautiful work.
Her left shoulder area is missing the faint green light coming from the left. I think this would be just fine even without the green halo. But anyway, just beautiful.

i really like the first sketch and really dig lazyheads coloring, except for the face being smudged a little in the paintover. the sketch itself has a pretty cool face.
sorry but cc's at 3:00 in the night tend to be kinda unconstructive...

also the left leg of the chap seems kind of awkward. firstly, i think the leg should face inward (so that the left shoe is kind points inward maybe?) the way its drawn, the chest and the left knee point in different directions which is kind of hard to do (i just tried)...
