Well I've learned a few things from this forum. For one - this tool called the PAINTbrush. I had never paid it any mind. I always used the airbrush! Ignorant lout! Now that I understand the difference between how it and the airbrush work, I tried my hand at this whole low-opacity, hard-edged sketchy look that is so popular `round these parts. Whaddaya know, it works!
Here's a landscape I'm working on. I finally managed some decent cloud formations. Hmmm. I am not sure what to use as a subject though. I tried the usual monolithic tower thing, but I've done that before. Now I'm thinking perhaps a winged demon dropping Wal-Marts and Starbucks over this pristine landscape. Any ideas?
I have three people to thank for technique inspirations: Socar Myles and her clouds and Seeg Miller for his concept of starting out with Lighting Effects. Also, Worthless Meat Sack for the bit about turning spacing off for the smudge tool! Yessss...
UPDATE: New version updated. Cheesy cute air balloon and more clouds added. Now I've had the thought to have dragons attacking a sky full of air balloons. That might be funny.
