It's looking really good, but shouldn't he have some facial hair, like eyebrows, eyelashes or sideburns?
With what program did you make this?

Hey very nice and cartoony feel.
As far as pointers...
You might want to redo the ear, it's clipping the side of the head, do add eyebrows if you want. I like the textures though, maybe tone down the diffusion map a little bit or the self shinniness. He looks kinda plastic. Also try a alpha map for the top of the head where the hair meets, a little blending there could look really cool.
Really good job so far.

Due to some technical difficulties with attaching paintFX strokes to polygon blendshapes in maya I have chosen not to add any facial hair. Those ears are just templates at the moment. As soon as I have finished modeling them I will add them.
I have aimed not towards a realistic look but a cartoony one so thats the way you should look at it.
