Hey guys, this is the first character about 90% done (modeling wise) from the upcoming short Beyond.... Essence is the main character.... you can find more info here http://www.eyecandystudios.net/Beyond

ok on with the pics

Things I already know about

- The hair needs more patches, it's a bit spacious
- The belt has no buckle and there's no belt loops (although I'm not sure if I'll do the loops)
- There's a crease in the top portion of the top in front.... (say that three times fast )

feel free to comment on anything else

thanx guys, now back to work I go

well, outside what you've already posted I'd say that you might want to pull the pant material in around the shoes. (front view)

Cheers.

Very nice, there is something bothering me about her side profile though, seems as if her thorax is too big and her neck too thick, but I would like to get a much closer shot.
Besides that I would suggest rigging her and posing her to see where, if at all, you need to add geometry to the mesh. I dig the overall character design tho.
I guess you already posted this at CGchannel, right?
See ya around

I dont know what software you are using...but I would change the blinn or phong material (or whatever your software calls it) to a lambert.

Basically get rid of the specualr highlights on the pants. The pants and shirt being shiney like they are make your character look like a plastic toy....or maybe thats the effect you want?

Anyway, comming along nicely.

I like the hair (with some patches it'll probably become even better) and the torso part, but shoes are HUGE. I know this is not realistic character, but I still find the size disturbing. Maybe it's because the pants bend forwards (side view), I think it'd look cool if the front of the pants came straight down.. Umm, bad english, I hope you know what I mean.
