Hi all,

Been lurking in here for ages - I mostly do 3D animation - but I used to draw heaps

I have just picked it up again and I had forgotten how much I missed it.

My problem now is that is so easy to draw on the computer that I rarely draw then scan - and I think my drawing suffers for it.

How do you guys get such clean outlines on the computer - my lines are so wobbly when I draw with the wacom... I have a natuarally sketchy style example:

This is my girlfriend Clare - she just dyed her hair red and it inspired me to draw a pic of her.

This is a pic which tried to draw with clean cartoony style, but I can't seem to get any quality to the line - it is too wobbly and seems to have no life compared to drawing on paper. Is there any way to increase the tracking speed of my wacom in photoshop?

Thanks for the feedback everyone - I think I will post more here in the future.

Micheal

i've read a few things from guys who have good line art and the general opinion sounds like scanned pen or pencil is the best way to go. if you are going to do it straight in photoshop, you could try painting much larger than you want the final product to be and then shrinking it down.
