I just wanted to post this to see what you guys think....what should I change...what should I do to make this better? Should I change anything about the base of the character?
I am going to add more accessaries later, this is just a model of the head.
Oh by the way, I know it has creases from the eyes to the head...ears to the head...nose to the head....all that. I didnt make patches yet (or stitch them), so please dont comment on that. I already know.
If you have anything to say about the design it self please comment (even about anatomy...even though this is not supposed to be photo realistic)
I am not expecting to get a comment, sense I never really do. This will probably be one of the last few times I post on this board, sense I never really get any critiques here anyway. Although I will finnish posting my progress of this model, as well as the last post I did of painting in photoshop I am working on.
Thank you to the few that give me advice!!!

Ok, I just did a screen capture of the mesh...although I dont want to show the mesh at the moment......
I modeled this in different pieces, but I am going to make patches from this model. (use this as the template by creating surface curves on this model. Then making patches from the surface curves....once that it done I will stitch them together)
Right now the parameterization is way off, I have the pole going to the top of the head rather than at the mouth...again though, this will all be fixed once I make the patches and stitch them. Also, this will "optomize" this model as well...although its not supposed to be low poly. So once that is done I guess I will start creating a texture map for the head.
Anyway, enough of me talking your ear off....here is the pic

i think the long nose doesn't fit to the shape of his face & head.
i would make the nose not that long and large and stretch the head a bit in lentgh. so it looks more athletic and "fishy".
what is that thing on his head, a crown? or fins? if it are fins, i would continue them over the head, somehow..
hope you understand me! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Should I make the nose flat looking then?
Yeah the thing on his head is going to be some sorta hat or crown. I dont know if I want to give him fins on his head...debating if I should give him gills or not too.
What do you guys think? |
