i wouldnt call it crap. youve got a good handle on form, and the use of shadow. just spend a little more time developing the idea, work maybe with some textures, a background, and then you'll have yourself a nice drawing. |

Hey, it's not bad at all. In fact it's a nice foundation... I did a quick paint over and added some highlights, shadows etc. More contrast, basically. Nothing special. Finish it, if you like...

I think it has a pretty good weight to it, he looks really massive.
I really never liked the mk.8 armour myself, but that's just me I guess.. |

Not bad. But I agree with oscar. You should add some highlight and shadows to get rid off this "flat" look to create an atmosphere. E.g. you could make the space marine sharp edged and blur the background a little to create a depth of field. |

I think it is still missing ical "mohawk-thingie" and his ears have to be pointed out more. Besides his chest is very flat, where are the breastplates, and the stylised eagle on it. Maybe I am talking about a newer or older armor-version, I am not sure about that. Still, I think it is some major detail, which you still could add to the marine. |

Personally, i think it's great. But isn't the head a bit to... small? i mean shouldn't it be placed a bit higher, because right now it seems as though he can only look from left to right and not up or down... of course, that's just me... |

Great bad ass marine. Next time I would consider an action pose. I love the huge armor and sunk in head. its really cool. He looks like he could take on the starcraft marines |

Looks like their background could have some air support |

Null, I think the original composition was alot better (like not showing the pelvis area etc.)
The new one has a too rigid pose, like he'd just have his armor full of shit in the middle of the combat
I liked the 'religious' type of art in space marine world more than the ones where they were battling all the time. With religious I mean the ones where they showed decorated warriors in their battle shrines with decorations and old flags hanging above. I sort of saw the first composition as such. Adding detail to it and background + good lighting might make it really groovy. |
