k, here it is, drawn because of a lack of ideas what to paint... and resulted in one of the best sketches i did the last days
as far it goes, i gave it the title "birth".
it i meant to be a slimes, ugly, weird tube that comes out of the earth with that girl materializing over it. wanted kind of effect that she directly comes from ehll. and simply climbing out of the tube wouldn't look good
i thought about the materializing effect looking like the effect, venom in marvel comics owns. slightly different of course.
any ideas for coloring? any critics, comments etc...?
thx in advance
ps: oh yes, it's done with painter, i forgot to mention

Hey, I'm surprised no one else commented yet, this is nice man! What a great sketch. I think this would be really nice.. heres how I see it occur: The character would be like a dark shade of purple.. or maybe a light shade. Where she is arising from the pot like thing should be all like an aqua-ish color, with like strong highlights on the body from it. i think the cauldron itself should be like a dark red color.. or something dark... Good luck with it... I'll do an overpaint of what i mean if you want.. I don't have the time at the moment tho
Good going :-) |

hey, thanks
i was already dropping hope that someone might reply
as for the color:
dryfire, yes, do an overpainting, i would be very interested in the result. if you want to, just mail me and i'll send you the pic in original size (1000x1000, 200kb).
my iontention was to give the character a quite dark color, dark reddish grey or sth like that with hard blue-greenish highlights. the cauldron itself would be flech-colored as there are eyes and thorns groing out of it.
but nevertheless, i am waiting for your overpainting
xXxPZxXx: thanks to you too i like a sketchy look sometimes even more than the finished painting. the amount of life is hard to achieve in a painting unless you're awesome skilled
also, in a sketch, the development of the image is clearer, what is interesting imho too
hehe, when i started the pic, i did not know what to draw. totally no idea, so i did horizon, floor, sky... the tower in the background... and then started going mad. the female character was male in it's first stage. therefore, she looks quite good to me |

Give it wings... Like fly wing or pixie wings... the see through with veins in them. Kinda goopy looking like a insect hatching from it's cacoon....
Wings make everthing better....
But it looks really cool like the eye on the pot! |

nice, but do you want to keep the background as empty as that. it reminds me of some surealistic paintings, how it is looking now, with this empty horizon.
you could put in some mountains, especially on the side, and make put some clouds in the sky.. my feeling .. |
