Trying to learn how to setup cubes for this form lesson of Spooge's. This lesson can be found here: ClicK Me!

In Spooge's first post, there is a link to TeamGT Studios. Within this link there are some tutorials on how to setup cubes. This is the where I'm at... The link to this can be found here: ClicK Me!

The purpose of of this is how to construct a cube, instead of a Rectangular Prism.

Unless I'm doing this wrong(Very, very likely, cuse I had a hard time with instructions.), you need to eye up the parallel lines. These lines are marked 1 & 2 on my screen shot below.

If we are to "eye" up these two lines, why not just as easily line up the backedge of the cube and skip out on all this line drawing? I'm sure I'm miss understanding all this. I wana do this form exercise, but I have to make perfect cubes to do this?

Also in the TeamGT Studio screen shot of this project. The boxs marked 3 and 4 on my image seem to be perfect squares. But on my image, I wasn't sure if these to squares needed to be the same size. Do they?

Urrgg... I hate being perfectionist, I can't do anything without proper instruction.

Thank you for your time.

Easy way to make sure it's the same is to lay a few of the cubes in a block, then draw a diagonal line along each side of the block, then move these lines into position on the view spot. Or use a 3d program to line up the cube and lines-but that could be cheating. :]
