Heres a sketch for a Background Painting depicting an island from my graphic novel. It's production art I guess. What words do you people think of when you see the image?-Happiness, curiousity, danger, etc..?-Post them here please. Later.

Heres three color comps thumbnail size (about 1" in height) so don't expect detail. What do you think?-Anybody?

I think the third color comp is the best!.... I really like the sunny day atmosphere.

No 1 thumbnail: it makes me think of a very arid, dry place, where perhaps rodents are at home. The green in the sky suggests not so much warmth as heat, i think. The body of water reminds me more of a small lake than a huge expanse of water, which I think the place would be too hot to allow.
Thumbnail 2:Reminds me of Mars cause of the red sky... It also seems more inhabitable than thumb 1
Thumbnail 3:This place seems warm and ffriendly, though not hot as in thumb 1. I think that this one is right next to a cool sea in my mind.
Which of these best fits what you are trying to convey in the image? Choose depending on the setting.

nice work. kinda reminds me of a stage in a Final Fantasy game.. cant think of which release. Makes me feel lonely. (but then again it is just a background).
anyhow the third colored version is my favorite.
