Each of these pics i did in my electronic media class, 1hr each. What do you guys think of them, they both will most likely remain unfinished like that. i would like suggestions on improvement and the like.

Hmm Well I think you should darken up the highlights a little they make his skin look shiny (Unless he's got bad acne :P )
Also the ear is a little small and set to low If you look in the mirror you'll see that you ear goes from your eyebrow to the bottom of your nose.
