Looks like you're getting pretty good values down. I want you to ponder the strokes before you put them down, really make each one count, thinking about the form of the object, and how the specific lighting will affect it. Again, your values are nice, just gotta get the shapes down a litle more. Good work, keep it up! |

Thanks for the advice Anthony
Just as soon as i get my Graphire pen back from faust, i'll be working on this some more, and adding a backround. Perhaps a burning saloon or something. He'll also get a shotgun slung on his back. |

Remember that if you add a burning saloon you'll have to change the lighting completely. Maybe think about forming a background to fit the current lighting, define him, and paint in the background. Keep it up! :] |

By the way, any advice on the lighting? I'm pretty much a novice at this, so even some arrows to point at the spots where the light would fall would be very helpful. I'm pretty much stuck on the lighting of his coat. |
