Hi, this is my first post on this fine forum, so take it easy , ok ? hehe... Anyway, this is a pic I'm doing for my website, I'm going to make a menu-system, that looks like a typical men's magazines cover, but the headlines will actually be links and so on. Now, because she dosen't have any clothes yet, I'll just put a link (or at least try to) to it, because I'm quite sure some people don't like nudity.
Here is the picture. I started with a quite simple sketch in Photoshop, and then started to draw the actual lineart with my trusty mouse... I my self am pretty happy with her anatomy, only thing that bothers me is her left hand, it just looks kind of weird but maybe I can sort that out when I start shading. But I sure ain't no expert in anatomy (not even close), but I do know that there are a lot of great artists here, who can probably point out any mistakes. I usually draw with a "mangaish" style, but this time I wanted to try a more realistic style. Okey time to stop, too much writing already

Interesting concept for a navigation tool... The anatomy looks a little "squashed"?? but other than that, she looks like a fine start.
oh yeah, she needs nipples...gotta have nippples...yep, needs nipples.. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

patrick: Yeah I made some changes to some parts, dosen't look so blobby anymore in my opinion. As for the nipples, as I said, she will eventually have some clothes on her, but I usually do the nipples after that.
Briareos: Thanks for the hostility, next time I need to bash my head in the wall, I'll tell ya... |

She is too wide at the hips and waist in my opinion. That's not an expression of personal preference, she just doesn't have the sort of figure I would picture gracing the front cover of a lad's mag. Also, the face would be improved if you did something else with the nose I think. |

EDIT:
Ok, I've done a lot of tweaking and stuff, and now I think it's pretty much ready for shading, the only thing that I'm thinking of adding, is making her hair a bit longer, somewhere around halfway her back... So, what do you guys think ?

This looks great... no complaints about the anatomy except that she needs nipples. Also her shoulders look a bit out of whack, perhaps they need to be wider or something. I like the hair a lot and the face is good. ;P
The only other comment I'd make is that she looks somewhat out of balance. The hips don't seem to be tilting the right way for the way her weight is distributed. Weight and center of balance is a crucial thing in good figure work. She seems to be leaning on something but there is nothing there for her to lean on... at least add a line to indicate the surface her hands are resting on. That will add more stability to the image overall. |
