I'm kinda lost with this one.
My original plan was to have an ambush party of two waiting behind each of the stone statues, while a group of soldiers (and maybe a mech.) approached in the distance.
I plan to paint a bridge hanging under the rough sketch of stonepillars.
Is the composition/light/colours any good?
Any comments appreciated

the colours look very good to me so far. If you want to put the focus on the people behind the stone on the right I would move the stone a little to the left to give them more room and to move them in the direction of the picture center. It's probably easier to talk about composition (is that an English word?) after drawing at least the outlines of the ambush people in the foreground though. |

I'm loving it, a helluva lot!
I think the sense of glare could be a little more present, though. Perhaps the area on the left could be in more shadow and some more sunlight glinting off that water. I can't wait to see some more updates on this.
And yes, composition is an English word ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Mebbe you cuold move the pillar on the left a little bit forward to make the ambush seem a little more obvious, though at the moment it does look good.
Bear in mind that I am new to this forum thing and that I am not too good at all this stuff! Just a suggestion! |

Thanks for your comments! I guess I should have painted the ambush party before posting the image.
I'll add some more dark to the areas in shadow, and work a bit more on the composition.

hehe.. det ser fint ud Thomas.. indtil videre. =O)
kommer der en karakter ude til hjre i forgrunden?
mske en der ligger parat med LMG. Eller en der knler og sigter med noget M4 + rdspunkts sigte.
men det styrer du selvflgelig selv.
hygger.. |
