I'm sorry for posting this in the wrong forum.
This is what I'm foolin' with now. I did a pencil sketch and scanned it. I'm using PS and a Wacom. My goal here is to practice and Improve my sense of lighting and shading on an exagerated human anatomy. I'm also trying stuff like veins too. any tips , suggestions or crits?
I May attempt to do this one again in full color...whata ya think?

wow
i dig the face!
the lighting on the muscles seems like the arms were another material. but that may be matter of work in progress...
the ammunition belt could need a little more realism... search images.google.com, some refpic galleries or www.securityarms.com for that.
but i really like it ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Some his veins look a little thick, esp the ones on the soldiers lower arm. It's had for me to envision veins thicker than someone's eyes. Looking good though.

yeah thats amazing. the expression is priceless! his left shoulder muscles are all wrong though. should connect lower. not rest on top of the chest and into the neck like that....
if you knew this was the wrong forum, why did you post it here? |
