Ok, I've been working on this little flash intro for a website. Basically the guy is the australian version of Tony Robbins (the American "motivational" speaker). It is still a work in progress and I have to add in some subtle background animation. I'd be interested to hear anyones comments:

Hello Matt. Good work. Nice motion. The left text, pic, right text combination took a moment to figure out. What I would like to see is the SECOND picture of your speaker guy replaced with ANYTHING else. Your "development expert" looks like he just had a pint or two at the local pub. Good load times, nice shade of blue. |

thanks guys for the comments - really appreciate them. Here is a slightly updated version:

I've gone through and placed in a backgroud cause I agree with you Halogenic that it was a bit bland. The speed is an interesting thing, some people think it is too fast, some people think too slow. The client has had a look and wants to tweak some of the text and images - so it is kinda difficult. If I was the client, yeah I would have done it slightly differently. But I'm not the client so that means the possibility of revisions has to be built in. Sound is coming but more in the regard of a 'voice-over'.
Thanks for your comments Tiger Eaten too. I know the images are not fantastic but when you see what I had to work with... umm... it's difficult with a client to tell them some of the photos 'could' be much better. Glad you noticed the load time, I was really trying to keep it small.
Keep them coming.
P.S. I know it goes to a blank page but on the real testing server, that is a proper page that I can't link to at the moment

Well...it's pretty bland...what id suggest is more variation and making the fades/transitions faster but keeping the text long enough so you have time to read it. And of course sound and some background. Try making the background interact with the foreground if possible. |
