Well, I think you could have something good going there but there are a few things that I'm not sure about.

First, her eyes seem really small and spaced really far apart from each other. I also think that you could use more defined areas of light and shade, it seems a little blurry to me right now. The other thing is that the composition isn't doing anything for me at the moment. Something should probably be in the background on the left side to balance it out, or the colors of the left side should be more contrasting with the face. Right now, its all somewhat similar in tonal values.

But you've got a good start, I really like the lips but I think they could be enhanced with a brighter highlight. I also, like the pattern of the background, I'm just not a huge fan of the color.

My advice would be to pull the left eye (facing viewer) in towards the right a little bit (towards the nose, and let the bridge of the nose cover it up just a little bit) and see how that looks. It looks to be a little to far to the left for my personal tastes.
You can always go back to what you had before if you're not satisfied with the results.
