This is my first attempt at a portrait .
Please let me know how I can improve . I have been doing cartoons and comic style ,but
I would really like to do realistic .

not a bad attamp.
basicly, you didn't look at the minor when u draw. because the ear doesn't look like that.
top part should be bigger than the bottom and also you can only see the this kind of ear from the side of the face not front.

his eyes is incrediblely big, the eye ball is not circle. again, look at your minor.

try to draw the sketch first.
