I dont know what is going through my mind, but I am tired, achy and kinda disappointed on how this drawing came out... Oh well.. I tried. Anyhow, I could listen to some good tips and so forth.. Anyhow, this is suppose to be a female pilot. Pilot of what? I dont know, too much thinking involved in this one... the pic....
=More Rantings=

I apologize, for it is 2am here, I am tired, groggy and so forth. I'll update as soon as I get a chance to get to this drawing. |

im likin the whole smoothness in yur style, only gripe i would say is wit her left arm in the background. its a lil too wiggly likea snake add more detail and the hand looks too stern i guess make it more relaxed ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

The foreshortening on her right hand is nice, but does her index finger need to be right in front of her face? Somehow, since that finger is practically poking us in the face, that uncomfortable feeling is carried over or projected on her. Maybe if you moved it to the right or the left a little it would look less awkward.

I think Pat has a good point. You have to move that finger a bit .. perhaps to the bottom left.... if you do move the finger, keep in mind that you have to move the eyes as well.
Another thing that I notice is the area from the torso and down. She seems to be sitting in a chair, yet the clothing doesn't show any folds, especially around the hip and crotch area where there usually should be..... it just throws off the perspective a bit.
anyway, it's coming along great. hope to see more work from you soon! |

Whether the hand stays or not, I think, depends on what the main purpose of the picture is.
Obviously an uncomfortable sensation is created - meaning the execution is effective.
To change it, would be to make it less 'in your face'.
I kinda like it the way it is. |

I just tried to do what she does with her right hand in that pic, and it was really tricky getting the little finger to point straight down like that
The pic is really cool though, I saw it in the Anyonw wants to Color this? thread too, and I might have a go at it later this evening.

I'd definitely move her hand to the left a little... and give her a little bit more of a hip. I like her expression and face, though, as well as the clean lines. Nice work! |

I just thought of plugging this... I am still working a lot more on it. And there were many of you wondering why she was pointing out like that... well... give me your insight on the progress so far..
