this is a little drawing I've been working on for about... 4-5 hours, started in Painter classic, (for the background)
I then tried sketching the lines, when they came out crap... I just drew the whole shillouette, using an eraser and a black brush in photoshop, I then lassoed the parts and colorized them, but I have no Idea where to go next
PLEASE help me, I blame only lack of practice, on my own part, but I have lost my ability to illustrate!! ... I'm so burnt out it's scaring me |

You might wanna start on the face. the face would really make the piece much stronger. you could probably get away with just doing the face and it would look fine. I really like the lady you posted! |

Try to make a sketch first, usually is easier with a pencil. Then scan it and blahblahblah, you know =) |

I'd suggest to start adding highlights, like you started doing with the hair. You've got your lightsource worked on (top right corner) so go from there.
And I'd also agree with drawing the face on. Mebbe even start with that. Get a new layer and start sketching in facial features, get it looking goodly, and then do highlights and shadows.
Keep at it. I like it already, but finished, it has big potential. @:-) |

'course you could allways cheat by finding a pic of a suitable face off the 'net and use that as a guide for your characters face...
Oh, BTW, hi all
