This is the second page of a comic I'm doing about a vampire and a female drow. The comic is yet unnamed.
This character is called Zeke, and he's a vampire.

Actually, the vampire is a creation of a friend of mine. He called it Zeke Adamantine. He created him as one of Anne Rice's vampires, but I'm gonna tweak it in the comic as one of the Vampire: the Masquerade vampires. I'll make him into a Gangrel or probably into a Follower of Set. |

He looks like a somewhat disturbed Toreador. Cool. |

Nice pencil work, Luke... hey, that's my name! What's with you and taking people's names?
Out of curiosity, is that blood in his wine glass? |

NullTygre: He's too f**ked up to be a Toreador. I see him more like a Lasombra (in image), but his disciplines are Gangrel/Setite.
Bishop_Six: That's me, taking people's names and twisting them into my own morbid creations. And yeah, that's blood in his goblet. The question is "who's blood is it?". |

wow... very nice.
i had to hunt for nitpicky detail but found one.
The mouth of the glass looks off perspective with the bottom ellipse of the stem.
That's it.
sweet.
You gonna ink it or is someone else?
I'd like to see how it ends up.

Heh! Yeah, I noticed that too. Gonna fix it, though. And yeah, I'm gonna ink it myself. I just have to buy some inking pens, since my old ones mysteriously dissapeared. |

If I may....
The one thing that I would say about it, is it lacks drama. The shading is there, but the feeling is not. Its just a straight on shot, with no emotion.
I was lucky enough to draw with alot of comic guys, and they taught me a neat trick.
Take the scene in your head, and play it out like a movie. Piture them all talking, fighting, whatever they are doing. WHen you get to the most dynamic or expressive part, freeze it ( a la Matrix. ) Then, and this is the hard part, you need to move your head around in side the scene to determine the best point of view. That the scene you draw.
Works for me sometimes. Every once and a while, I am able to hack something out that makes me look like i might know what I am doing.
I would like to ask a favor. May I use your drawings as a source for a peice I would like to do? |

My only complaint is that the hands are too small in the first frame where he is holding the glass. I feel they should be larger because of how broad the shoulders are, and the fact they are poping out towards the viewer.
OTherwise i like it! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Would be the same as yours. I like your idea of the guy sitting with the wineglass and such. Would be a similar peice, but different veiw, and, or course, rendering...
I render my junk with lots of line. THis is my style..
I will give you credit for sure. Is that ok? |

Man, I'm humbled. That's one kickass piece of art!
When you finish it, could you post it? It looks like a mixture of Jim Lee and Stephen Platt. |

hey dude,
thanks, glad you like it. I won't be finishing it tho, I really am not happy with it at all. I have redone it in black line art tho,and will be putting it up colored as soon as I get my hands on a scanner.
Meantime, I can show you an older one I did, and get the peice ready that I am gonna do based on yours.
Old, but I still like it. Check out my site, has a lot more crap./

You're not having luck? Man, you should be the unluckiest man on earth. I mean, your art ROCKS (you even stole the thunder on my thread, but that's ok ). Man, you SHOULD be drawing comics professionally right about now. |
