since these are inked life drawings, I don't think they belong in the finished section, even though they're as done as they'll ever get. I don't think they'd fit in there too well, so I thought I'd post em here. These are my first real experiences with ink...especially without using any pencil.
the neck's a bit on the large side here, but I'm happy with it (for a 10 min effort)
and a couple of clothed figure drawings (5-10 min). Please let me know what u think. Thanx for your time,

The whole feel to the last one is great. I just get a feeling of life from it (so technical aren't I?). Nice work on all of them, but she really caught my fancy |

hey man, we all can see that these are not your first drawings, aren't they? the confidence in your strokes say that you're an experienced artist, with a (relative) long background.. the last ones are great..
I encourage to all newbies here to draw DIRECTLY with ink, without pencil, for a period of time (1, 2 months?). This 'training' will give you a lot of self-conficence and agility in the drawing... i must say that It helped me a lot!!
good work, pal! |

Holy crap...we're back!!
Thank you all for your feedback here. i also thank you for your generous compliments. You are too kind. I'm going into my third year (of many) at the Academy of art College in SanFrancisco. Just this past semester I took a clothed figure drawing class, And I started to really get comfortable with placing my lines without guidelines.

I couldn't possibly agree with you more Iface. I think it's done wonders for my work.

what a great concept! untapped resource! not just "60's Art" but "ART about the 60s" only thing with relevance are those really sweet Hendrix portraits.... |
