Hi, folks
I could need some help on the feathers of this parrot. As you can see, I'm still in the progress of establishing the middletones.
But on the wing it just doesn't come out right. I even tried establishing the dark parts of it before the highlights (not visible in this image). So if anyone could give me some hints on how to get the feeling of structure across even at this early state I would really appreciate it. Btw, this is only my second digital drawing I have done so don't expect anything to great. Still messing around with this 12x18 intuos.

i really love those colors!
well my only advice is to treat it like a sculture... model it using color and tone so it feels like a parrot. then you can be totally anal about the feathers. it looked so good i hope you don't mind me tinkering with it alittle. i had so much fun.
