Well... I posted this is the finished section but thought of posted it here too. I wanted some critiques or some goot tips. Yes, I messed up the arm, and the breast part doesnt look really that proportionate. I tried. anyhow,

I really like the line work and her face is gorgeous
The only crit I can give regarding colouring is to just keep working on it.
Put some colour on the background. It doesn't have to be anything specific.
Establish a strong lightsource and work from that.
Maybe she could be on the beach or underwater? I don't really know, I was just trying to help ya out. Well good luck with the rest of it

Remember that not all mermaids have silicone breasts
I think that if one draws breast the way they "really" look like it gives the caracter a more real and lifelike look. (Onstead of the usual monster boobs one sees all over the place).

Very cool. The wrist is to thick I think and the breast to big for her small frame. Anyway, good character study.
