I don't see exactly how they all fit together. Usually when I do a design I don't do it in peices, but one large piece(sometimes using layers to make it alot easier) and then it saves puting it together to show people before they reject it :P Well that's usually what happens in my case. Also one thing I try to do is keep a very rigid color scheme. In your various images I see yellows, greens and blues of diverse tones and shades. This forum is a good example of color coordination. everything is in blue, with the exception of some grey, black and white(the colors which are of no balance consequence). There are yellow smilies etc, but they are not actually part of the functional design of the forums.
Out of the images you have posted I like the middle one the best, which uses tones of blue(and some red I think aswell, which almost appears purple) to create this coordinated effect of which I speak. If you made the last image run with your blue, or red and blue, theme then I think it will bring the entire page together. It is all too often I see series of webpages, which barely constitute a site becuase they lack the elements of a simlar color scheme, or layout.
Hope to have helped Gimme a shout if you've got any questions. |
