hey N8X, how ya doing. I am a new guy here. hope you don't mind i give my cents. my first feeling that i get from look at your image is: wow, what the heck is this, it look cool. well first off, the title of the image isn't much. Which is kinda good in a way. Because it leaves the viewer to make their own interpretations. I thought it was bunch of potatos with faces on them. hehe, funny image. as for the crit, i assume that it's not done yet. i would say, use alot of shadows for the background as well as the figures, not necessarily let it wipe out everything, kuz then it would be flag. use your judgement to have shadow to bring out the contrast between the subjects and the background. now that i look at it again, the figures looks like they are hymming( wonder if that's even a word, sorry bad english). anyways, there seems to be something spiritual going on aside from being funny, so i guess you can paint like a bright, white, and slightly foggy light coming from the top, and adjust ur figures and environment accordingly. i don't know, just my interpretation of what i would see as a finish piece. as of right now it looks like a monochromatic underpainting. your color selection is limited, which is fine, but wrong hurt to give it slight little more variations. also, i find that by applying a brightness/constrast image adjustment to your existing picture, it can help give your an idea how much better your picture might look. i do that alot, it doens't work all the time, but works well for me. i assume you are using painter. painter's brightness/contrast dialog box has a reset button. man i hope you can read my poor english. and if anything that i said that you know alrighty or disagree with, just disregard it. I only think i know what i am talking about. i am looking forward to post some of my work up, welcome to crit mine.
