This is an image I'm still working on, as the columns will eventually have carvings and flowers will be winding up both sides, but I'd really like to know what everyone thinks of it so far. Be vicious - I'm planning on using this as a portfolio piece.

edit: deleted image that didn't function... scroll down for the WIP

cool dude.. but that right arm is way too big...

The hair is really nice though, and so is the feathers.. it presents a lot of mood. Hmm mabye the chest should be a bit lighter though... perhaps some bluer lighting on her skin tones

really nice detail though

That I can do. I'll repost once I've worked on the skin tones and such... How much smaller should her hand/arm be? Would about half an inch do it? Or do you just mean that it shouldn't be that thick?

Hrm. Back to the drawing tablet.

Hey very cool pic, the face reminds me a little bit of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Any who, the arm is looking better however it stills need to be a tad slender, specially the area where the wrist is at. Have a friend, relative(hopefuly a girl) stand in that pose for you. It would make it easier. Also maybe give her more curves around her waist, is not that it looks bad now, but she seems like the type of girl that would have a shapely body
Great work though.

I'll work on the arm and curves, and thanks for the critiques, both of you... I'll keep reposting until I manage to hit some decent anatomy.

Okay - reworked with curves and a semi-decent background.

Here's the link ...

Edit: Argh. Just found out that Tripod has declared that no remote hosting is permitted. Must go search for new site now.

Very nice, I especially like the detail work on the feathers! Only thing is that it doesn't look like she's really holding the mask handle... maybe have a couple of fingers pinching it or close the whole hand some

Aaah! I can see the images now.
Very nice, very nice. Pretty girl yeeees.

Anyway. the left arm, the one holdin the mask, looks a bit to wide to me maybe make it a bit thiner.

Also as pointed out above, the way she holds the handle of the mask, looks odd. At first i was wondering if her fingers were inside the blouse or something.
I really can't tell.

But the detail is fantasmorastic!
Really nice.

*rereads* Oops - I forgot to make her wrist thinner. Nuts. Oh well... I did work on her fingers/hand positioning; see what you think of it now.

Her left ( our right ) breast seems a bit flat and the right side of her face has just a leetle too much light on it, perhaps a shadow from her hair should be added? Other than that, it's just fantastic! The details like the roses are beautiful.

::edit:: typos galore...

Those roses are absolutely gorgeous! I love them

Her skin however is colored kinda weird (sorry if this was mentioned above, I was lazy and didn't read all the posts cause I'm cooking dinner) I think perhaps she should be less purple/red... she looks kinda like clay

See if these skin tones are better - I still have a few places to rework, I think, but here she is now...

As others have said, the roses are absolutely beautiful! I have a couple of crits about the figure...her eyes need a little more shadow, especially the one on the right. Also, why does her skin get so dark on her chest? It comes across as a dark purple on my screen.

Hmmm. Your monitor must be much darker than mine, then - it looks like a mid-value purple to me. Still, I'll lighten it some more, and work on the eyes. Thanks for the comment, Eric!

Okay - lighter chest and darker eyes, as ordered. Anything else I should take care of?
