how exciting. well this is my self portrait, or it was until it stopped looking like me. i just have the basic, basic layout for the body and background (er..i guess thats obvious) but i wont have time to work on it for a while so..yeah. any help i can get would be appreciated, i've been staring at this too long to see whats wrong with it.

Whew your a girl... I was hoping a guy wasn't giggling.. that would have freaked me out.

Anyway, looks like a start. Hard to say really because its so early in development.

I think the shadow edge on the side of the cheak is to hard, maybe soften that a little.
Proportions look good. Post the next stage asap!

Briareos: you're right, i have to fix that shadow, thanks for pointing that out. i'll count the fact that you can tell i'm female under "victories."

melted petal and dr. bang: i'm at school or i'd post the picture i was working with, but heres one i have up from before. i'm wearing the same thing and the expression's pretty much the same, so just to give you an idea... the lighting's really different but it'll have to do.

The only thing i can really tell from my quick once over is the chin seems to be a little off. in your rendition it seems that you have made your chin jaw start angling in towards your chin too soon. hard to tell without the actual pic. oh it also seems that your eyes may be too far apart. cant wait to see this one finished. and i mean this in a not freak internet scary person way - you are very pretty without looking fake

wildgrey, the picture really resemble you. In your picture, everything is good, but remove all the white shadin on your neck because i don't think it should be there. In real life, the face reflect light well due to the tight skin, and the neck is not because the skin is not as tight.

I hope you know what i mean :P

Hi again! If you didn't notice i updated it a little last night (got out of school early, i love field trips).

melted petal; i tried to fix the eyes and the chin a little, does it look any better? and i'll take that as a scary compliment

snowman: you still suck. my nose isn't that big is it??

dr bang: thanks! i didn't even think about the neck thing, but you're right! i'll have to fix that.

-and now i'm off to pay my parking ticket...oops...

the problem with drawing your friends is that if you screw up the could think its because you thinkg they're ugly, not because you suck at drawing. although, wildgrey seems to understand that well enough.

thats very disproportional, edible... but i shouldnt speak a word, i dont even have a tablet... here i am drawing with my mouse.

and grey- its good, i like. i only saw it once because those links arent working for me, im not sure why, but i think it looks like you- at least, it looks like the original picture (thats the metal staircase one, right?)... the picture in the first place doesnt look much like you because your hair is back, and you never wear it back in "real life." and i did a little work on my angel, check the posts, grey

tee hee! ^_^ ill make a 3d one when 3D max comes, or when bryce stops sucking for modelling... >_<
