I'm not really sure what you're tryign to do with this, but if you're going to transfer your sketches to the computer to be colored

1.) Ink your drawing, so the lines are defined and conserved
2.) Crank up the brightness/contrast to get those nice crisp lines
3.) make a new layer over your outline and set the blend mode to multiply, fill in the different sections with solid blocks/bands of color. Use a very hard high opacity setting on the airbrush for this

Then you can work from there, a little dodge/burn or work with different shades from a weird light source using the airbrush, it's up to you. You really can't start coloring like how you're doing and have it come out too well in paint, especially if you're going to use that soft of an airbrush to fill in the colors.

Just a simple way to do it, there are more complex and arguably better ways, but personally I prefer this one. Keep at it and try this method, I think the drawing has promise

What I would suggest doing is losing the pencil sketch altogether. Use it as a guideline but don't make it a part of your finished image. Put another layer over the top and trace nice hard clean lines over it. Use hard edges brushes as opposed to the soft ones.

If you don't have a tablet, it's going to be a bit harder. I used to use the line tool to make my edges more stylized and sharp when I painted with a mouse. I think there is a thread somewhere in Art Discussion on making nice clean lines.

I tried something over your pic. One normal layer on top of your pic, defined light source to upper right, paintbrush at 100% opacity. wacom tablet with pressure & size settings checked and lots of color picking.

I agree with clearing the lines before doing anything else
