"Behold a pale horse, and his name that sat upon him was Death, and Hell followed with him." Revelations 6:8
2 things you should know.
1 The horse is supposed to be see-through. He's gonna be somewhat transparent, being Death's horse. That's the "pale horse" bit.
2. The line art in the back I'm not too worried about. It's gonna suck now until I get in the blobs of colors. Then it'll look much better. TRUST me on this.
Comments/crits welcome, especially about where I should go from here. |

well Im liking what I see so far...
the pale horse is nice.. Im not a horse anatomy guy but I like the way he looks. (but he might need a tail)
I also like the demon handup close.
the only thing that bugs me now is the demon in the back right. he looks more lik ehe's doing something quite nasty instead of putting a body in the bag. some people with less than clean minds might think thats what it is.
also, the close up demon looks as tho his legs stop just above the knee becasue of how high up the guy laying in front is.
the guy in front almost looks like he's hovering.
Im honestly really interested to see the finished result of this please, please , please post the final result. whether you're happy with it or not. |

very cool idea, AoD... a couple things, though... some of them awetopsy mentioned, like the bag demon, and the perspective regarding the large demon's legs/height... one more thing, though... the horse looks a little like a pony, so you might wanna consider lengthening its legs... and on the topic of its legs, i used to ride horses quite a bit and i can't remember that clearly, but i seem to recall that the hind legs should have the knees in the back of the leg (they're called hocks, if memory serves me)... the hind legs bend forward, so the "knees" should, by right, be at the back of the leg... otherwise, it's a cool picture, and i'd definitely like to see the end result...
cheers,

Hey AoD, just thought you might wanna know that seeing this thread inspired a thumbnail of a similar theme. If you don't mind, here's a link to it: click here
As for your image, it's an interesting theme, no matter unreligious I may be. There are a couple things that could help make this better.
First off, make sure to pay attention to the overall perspective as the others mentioned I believe.
Also, you should get rid of some of those lines indicating folds in all the clothes. The lines aren't modeling clothing very well and there are just too many of them. Simplify and I think your image will read better.
If you are looking to keep the linework in the final image then I suggest playing around with line weights...don't leave them all the same width.
And finally, the horse...do what I had to do for that thumbnail and find some reference. I've never drawn horses before so I did a quick search on the net and found a pretty good assortment of images. Your horse suffers the lack of joints that my initial attempt did as well as the direction in which those joints bend. Here's the link I was using to study horses.
So, hope that all helps one way or another.

very cool man.. i just read revelations last night. good stuff... might be a good idea for like a draw club like thing. I like how you made all the ripple's in the clothing. Those 2 dudes to the left of the horse are great.. great poses! |

Yeah. Ergot fungus does wonders for the imagination. "Apocolypse Wow" dude.
It's strange. It skeerd me.
It needs some "furniture". Something not related to the story you're telling. Some incedentals.
Still skeery. |
