more of a forehead, less pointy chin and lumpy face. if you're going to use line art, make sure its clean, otherwise just paint over it. i think i already said this to you, but it would really benefit you to have a reference of some kind. its a little hard to just jump in to painting and do it straight out of your head.

as the snow man said, use a reference... it will help you out a lot, or even if you look at a profile of someones face you know, you'll realieze how much shading and whatnot to add

Maybe you should try a 3/4 portrait, I think they're a lot easier than profiles, or even fronts, cuz you see them more often. It's easier to make the content look cooler too.

3/4's....

Step.1
I think you should start with grayscales and
work on regular pen and paper till you
fell comfortable with this.
Then xpeiment with different kind of colours
and how these physically reacts with the paper.
Step 2.
Grayscales in photoshop or similar software using a tablet for some time followed by
xercises in colouring on the computer.

Not fun maybe (then you shouldnt do it)
Takes loooong time.
But hey - Many others walked upon it :-)

Regards

PP

I think that Petra Pan is right in saying that you might want to practice alittle more in traditional media before you continue with digital. This is not a discouragement, just a pointer.
Next time you are trying to do a face: use a refrence(person, photo), and block out shapes like rectangular prisms(almost creating a rock face) this way you with have your proportions and depth correct.
The following is a an image of my repaint. It is not the best, but it was done to 'help' you with you proportions and other problems that you are experiancing.
After that is a link on how i did it. Good luck!

And this is how I did it.

I would say that before focusing on painting, I would concentrate more on the structure as I have said before.

Also to that end, I would learn to draw through your object. Don't think about just what is seen but rather the whole form of the head and the details. Work from large form to small.

Here's a little bit of what I am talking about. I hope this helps:
