hi, im discovering everything about potatoes.
thats my new idea: a mechanical potato beetle. but i have some problems with the perspective, its such a complex objekt...
i dont know if there are some mistakes in it, im sure you will see some of them -> please tell me. i cant see no circles anymore *g*
heres an illustration of it:
(i know the circles are not in perspektive)
this work should be done with a pencil, so i must not do with a computer, but i take it for help.
i would like to get this picture with a 3d-programm, but i cant use them. im a newbee in 3d!
how work in perspective when using a pencil?
do you use layers of paper?
please tell me ypur crits.
thanks a lot |

I've been doing a lot of sketches in 3d lately. It helps, first of all, to draw very lightly, and only go in and darken your lines when you're sure they're the ones you want. Another tip, get some good pencils. Your standard lead #2 pencil doesn't erase very well, either. Go to an art supply store and pick up some nice art pencils (I just picked up some nice sanford turquoise pencils. Get a few of varying harndess to see which ones you like the best.) |

waylon, you are right. i should use not these dark pencils. i solved this problem by using very light paper, so that i could use it in layers. finally i could see all sketches at once, that led to this sketch:
can you any mistakes in it?
please tell me
thanks |
