A unfinished model but I am trying to get better at lighting and rendering. Lightwave has so many options for rendering you would be surprised at how many things you have to set just right to get a good contrasty render. Just takes practice and patience.

Try changing the focal length of your camera. It's set a little too wide. 50mm pretty closely approximates the focal lenght of the human eye.

Also, move your primary light somewhere other than below your camera. Upper right side would be good. People react best to scenes that have lighting from the upper right. Don't ask me why.

Moving the camera out of that symetrical POV might help also.

This is a crappy render, but it shows what I'm talking about.

I think the main thing I was going for was to learn about the programs options and in the mist of that I made ver boring.
William I'm very surprised that you took the time to redo my model.
I will post another render when I get a chance.
