Here's some progress on the head model that I posted the other day. There are still problems with the model but I got anxious to see if I could create somewhat realistic skin after seeing some other people's work so I went straight into the texturing.
Nukleon, if you look at this thread, I totally meant to move the ears down like you suggested but completely forgot. (Stupid me)
Anyhow, tell what you think of the skin. It looks really CG still but I think it looks pretty good nonetheless. Agree, disagree? Comments, questions, concerns? Go for it.
Oh BTW, I haven't painted the lips yet, that's why they are the same color as the rest of the head.

I like it. But the nose seems unfinished..
an old man should have a more charachteristic nose...not like a young girl...
apart frm that, its not something Id manage to model...Keep it up!! |

Damn dude, your on the right track. I would like to see more of him. Maybe some more views. The texture is cool. Reminds me of EVENT-HORIZON's bloody eye sockets.
Only a few crits, because you want them right..
1.. Maybe the skin is to redish
2.. the Chin looks kinda strange to me.
2.. Lip to nose seems to long but fine, all though the lip crease seems to sharp.
Just nitpicky things, not that any of my heads have this much detail, very good stuff indeed. keep them coming
later

Great looking stuff.
textures still need somework but man they are coming along great. Here this might help you get some ideas for texturing.

Ther are a few mistakes.
1-eyes to small
2-chin to flat
3-bottom lip not the right shape
but none the less a very good attempt. Fix a few things and this head is gona rock! |
