Hi everyone
The actual image is 2000x2000 res but this is the only area of the image I have completed although since I sorted out this snapshot, I have added his body and hair
For those who don't know about Pompey (Portsmouth FC), they are a football (soccer) club and my hometown team They are always battling for Division 1 safety and seem to leave things until the last day of the season to get themselves out of trouble
I wanted to show the emotions a fan goes through when the final whistle goes and their team is going to be staying up
I notice that a lot of the artists on this forum try to replicate natural tools- does anyone use greyscale first for tonal work and then add the colours later on an overlay/soft light layer? This is how I work for I started off as a Quake 3 skinner and this technique works a treat

Thanks mate- I have now done the body and I have emphisised the character's emotions by having his left hand placed so that he looks like he's being pretty emotional.
I will post a smaller image but with more done soon
