This is my first attempt to actually "paint" in photoshop. I've been working on it for a bit over 2 hours now..
as you can see I've used a reference pick.
it's still very unfinished, but I thought you would like to see it
oh, and it's done with a mouse

Not bad at all, you may want to pay more attention to the features of her face, lips etc. Also maybe soften up her skin... looking good though. |

Hey, lookin good. The lips look cut and paste, though. don't forget to add a highlight along the top right edge of them and a shadow all along the bottom as the source picture shows. |

Oh yes, the lips look much better now. The shding on the neck could do with softening? |

Its a nice pic youve chosen...and the girl is cute too... I like photorealism, so keep up the good work! Mind if I have a go at this pic too? |

Spiraleye :The lips look cut and paste, though... what do you mean by that?
that the lips don't fit in smoothly?
sweedberg: be my guest.. maybe I could learn a bit from your work then
I updated the update again

nice job, Yo!! However a couple of things: the original's nose bone is a little wider (affects your painting a lot) and her left eye on your painting (our right) has the wrong shape - the upper eye-lid should go down when it comes to the left side (our)
and it should go a little above and farther to the left than the lower lid...otherwise its cool!!!

I realy like the pic, especialy if you look at the progress you made between the 2 versions.
just a few ideas:
1. ad a darker shade to the right of her nose, just beneeth it. If you look at the original you'll see what I mean
2. the same goes for the right side of her chin. just shade a little darker.
Don't get me wrong. this is the first time i post here, without even having posted some of my own work.
If I could be at your level, i would be glad!
these are just objective tips, nothing more. |
