These are two idea i have sketched up for an oil painting I am going to do for art class.. IM not sure 100% of the compisition..

Any ideas which one of these do you like better..

I like them both... but I think the first one.. (Compistion wise) The dog will have a gas mask... or maby just goggles.
its meant to be like the 3d palette comp.. a while back..

also like in that gasmask thread ages ago..

umm yea.. Im thinking I might redo these ideas.. have some sort of battle taking place.. like Justine sweets paintings.. eg.. the one on the bottom of this post..

Anyway Im all ears.. I would like to see what you think..

Justine Sweets pic.. Inspiration..

and

Loki, spooge Joachim, Micke im sure you guys would no a fair bit about compisition...

so could you guys possibly help a young fella out ?

Hey Hugh, your ideas are really coming through well
Personally I like the second one a lot! (the one with the close up of the guys face) It has a lot of potential to be a great finished piece. The other one with the guy just standing there seems a little less dramatic.
I can't really offer much advice about composition, I'm pretty terrible at it myself. But I think the composition in the second one is much better than the first one.
Well, good luck with the painting

I traced the dog shape from one of Justins painting.. and used a piece of dhabihs background form one of his pics..

this is just compisition It will be done in oils once im happy with it..

I think I like this one.. the best..

action packed.. I will cloth the figures and fix the lighting also..

I like the second pic best. hmmz.. Make the thing (city ruins?) on the up left a little (much, actually) smaller. It should give more depth.

im not sure I think Ill have to go with the second pic..

A bit boring.. but it will be heaps easy to paint.. and I dont know if I want to tak on anything too challenging for my fisrt experience with oils..
