Looks like you got most of the proportions pretty close. I would recommend practicing drawing different parts of the body, especially the parts you have trouble with, to help when drawing full figures.
I would also strongly recommend against the word "dOOd" or indeed any word using a series of alternately capitalized letters. Also avoid abbreviating words that are not usually abbreviated and contain less then 3 or 4 letters to begin with. Avoid three letter acronyms (TLA's) and never use the phrase "downloaded to".
Heh, I'm just messing with you.
When you run into problems drawing something it is good practice just to try and draw that part on a separate piece of paper until you are comfortable with it. |

Proportions look good, though to me the legs look a little on the short side.
This may be the style your looking for though, so don't take anything I say too personally.
If you havn't already, check out the master tutorial on figure drawing
(this was put up by another person here at Sijun, and we now all worship his arse, as he is a legend for sharing this)

In particular pg 28 - 41 that deals with the proportions in ref to the head. And concept type outlines.
By itself it looks good though, nice job. |

hello all,
this is my first try at concept art. i read a couple tuts online on howto draw a human figure, starting with a stick figure d00d.
this is what i came up with after a couple failed drawing. any comments and criticisms are welcome. actually, plz comment on it and give me any advice you might have to help out a newbie in this field
i know the hand looks a little bit messed up but i wasn't exactly sure howto draw it so thats what i came up with.
i think the next step now is to fire-up photoshop and start texturing this d00d
